چکیده
A food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) is a common method used to assess individual long-term dietary intake of foods and nutrients. The questionnaires elicit subjectively reported “usual frequency” consuming an item from list preference (FFPQ) needed facilitate studies assessing the patterns ischemic stroke patients. Objectives: This study aimed develop validate premorbid habits patients. Methods: total 20 Ishemic patients participated in development FFQ validation study, 100 subjects participating reproducibility study. FFQ, consisting 127 items 12 groups, was compared with one-day record (3DR) as reference method. assessed through repeat administration for three times. Reliability scale measured by split half method, whole test calculated using Spearman-Brown formula). validity FF Scale established internal consistency analysis method,. For this purpose two sets inter correlation were calculated. score each section correlated total. In second section, grand score. During readability, feasibility, clarity wordings, layout style accessed. Results: Guttman coefficient 0.321. Therefore, reliability high developed has reliability. pearson ranged 0.445 0.533. values between 0.001 0.901 most correlations found be significant, thereby indicating reasonably construct validity. results demonstrated good acceptance FFQConclusion: These findings indicate that valid reliable measuring average consumption population

To the Editors: Of course we agree with Kristal et al. (1) that validity is an issue of degree rather than a dichotomy and that multiple methods will usually be useful when evaluating validity because a perfect standard is rarely available. However, their examples based on face validity, construct validity, and predictive validity do not provide evidence that food frequency questionnaires shoul...
متن کاملDevelopment and Validation of a Food Frequency Questionnaire for Assessing Dietary Calcium in Children
Background and Objectives: This study aimed to develop and validate a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) for measuring calcium intake in 9-13 years old children in Tehran, Iran. Materials and Methods: A 56-item FFQ containing main contributors of calcium in Iranian diet was designed. Criterion validity of the calcium specific FFQ was evaluated through comparing its result with five 24-h recall...
متن کاملInvestigation the frequency of asymptomatic hemorrhagic transformation of infarction in CT scan of acute ischemic stroke patients
Background: Asymptomatic hemorrhagic transformation infarct (AHTI) is known as a complication of ischemic attack and maybe occurs in the entire stroke. However, the role of AHTI in the result of the treatment is still not clear, because it is based on the definition of an asymptomatic and not identifiable. The aim of this study was assessment and evaluation frequency of AHTI in acute ischemic s...
متن کاملReproducibility of a food frequency questionnaire for adolescents.
To assess the reproducibility of a validated 76-item food frequency questionnaire designed to estimate diet in adolescents (Adolescent Food Frequency Questionnaire--AFFQ) in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil, a test-retest study was conducted (n = 49). Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), weighted kappa, and percentage of agreement were used in both crude and energy-adjusted nutrient intakes. ...
متن کاملValidation of a food-frequency questionnaire for use in pregnancy.
OBJECTIVES As a part of an ongoing project to develop a nutritional screening tool, we evaluated the performance of a semi-quantitative food-frequency questionnaire (FFQ) in terms of validity in a Sheffield Caucasian pregnant population using two different statistical approaches--the correlation coefficient and the limits of agreement (LOA). The FFQ was designed specifically for pregnant women ...
